Job Title: 2025 Harvest Internship - Cellar

Job Description: Chateau Montelena is seeking interns for the 2025 harvest. The position will start July 21, with our summer bottling run, and continue thru approx. Nov 1. Candidates must have integrity, be able to work long hours (including weekends), and be able to lift 50 lbs. Being successful at Montelena is simple: bring a sense of humor, a positive attitude, a strong internal drive, and a willingness to learn. Egomaniacal maniacs need not apply (we're full).
Interns will work exclusively in the cellar (no vineyard work). Responsibilities will include:
- Equipment cleaning & sanitation
- Fruit receiving & sorting
- Pumpovers and punchdowns
- Nutrient and yeast additions
- Digging out & pressing tanks
- Topping
- Racking
- Barrel-filling
*Free on-site shared housing is available, and meals are provided during our typical fruit receival period of ~8 weeks.*
We're a tight-knit team with decades of experience and incredible velocity. It's hard work but you'll leave with a strong toolbelt that will serve you well in both career and life.
The wage will be $17.50-$20/hr (with lots of overtime at 1.5X), depending on experience. For international candidates, we work with CAEP to help you obtain your visa.
