Job Title: 2025 Harvest Intern
Job Type: Internship
Job Description: Harvest interns will have the opportunity to assist our small, experienced crew with all aspects of vinification for 20 different grape varieties. This includes but is not limited to vineyard maturity sampling, fruit processing, inoculations and additions, cap management, digging tanks, draining/pressing, barrel work, lab analysis, data entry, sanitation, bottling, and general winery upkeep.
Internships typically run from August-November but will depend on the growing season. During the busiest part of harvest, interns should expect to work 6 days per week and flex between both production sites as needed. The hourly pay rate will be $20-25 (DOE) plus overtime and lunch is catered once a week during crush.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates are hardworking and detail oriented. Strong communication skills, a willingness to ask questions, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions are essential. Prior harvest experience and formal education in Viticulture and Enology are pluses but not required. Applicants must be committed to maintaining a safe and respectful work environment.
Other Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
Ability to work outdoors and navigate variable/steep terrain
Extensive walking and time on feet
Reliable housing and transportation. Position requires driving and a clean driver’s license.
Spanish language proficiency desirable
International applicants must secure their own J-1 visa
