Job Title: Harvest Intern

Job Description: Berryessa Gap Vineyards is seeking a harvest intern for the 2025 harvest. We are a small, tight-knit team looking for a hardworking, detail-oriented, enthusiastic person to join us in making wine in one of California’s newest AVAs - Winters Highlands. This position will work closely with the Winemaking team and be involved in all aspects of the winemaking process.

Essential duties include:

-Vineyard sampling/monitoring
-Cleaning and Sanitation
-Fermentation management and monitoring
-Inoculations and additions
-Lab analysis
-Filling, racking, and topping barrels
-Data collection and analysis
-other duties as assigned by winemaker

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Valid US work permit required.

-Regular Schedule: 7am-4pm. Overtime may be required. Job will require some weekend and holiday work.

-Ability to climb ladders, lift heavy objects up to 60lbs, do punch downs on fermenters

-Capable of working in hot, outdoor conditions in the vineyard and in the cellar
-Excellent English speaking and literacy skills, bilingual Spanish is preferred
-Ability to work well as a team and contribute to group
-Ability to follow directions, complete work orders independently and willingness to learning
-Knowledge of basic cellar procedures
-Attention to detail and ability work with sense of urgency, and ability to be flexible in fast-paced environment
-Must have valid driver’s license and transportation
-Previous cellar experience is a plus

-lunch provided on Fridays during height of harvest
Pay Scale: $20/hour
