Bio

Peter Byck is a seasoned entrepreneur who co-founded WX Brands (originally Winery Exchange) in 1999. Over his tenure of 23 years as CEO, he propelled WX Brands from inception to become one of the top 15 largest wine companies in the United States. Under his leadership, WX Brands curated a portfolio of distinctive wine brands, establishing a global presence with distribution in the United States and key wine markets worldwide. Notably, Bread & Butter emerged as one of the world's fastest-growing and most successful wine brands. In a significant milestone, WX was acquired by the Bemberg family in 2021, renowned owners of Argentina’s largest winery Grupo Penaflor.

Prior to his role at Winery Exchange, Peter served as VP of Strategy & Business Development for Golden State Vintners (GSV). Preceding his tenure at GSV, he led as CEO of Applied Scanning Technology, a pioneering software and scanning company specializing in industrial automation within the forest products industry. Additionally, Peter was a Senior Consultant for the LEK Partnership in Sydney, Australia, focusing on wine strategy.

Hailing from Sonoma County, nestled in California's renowned wine country, Peter's roots run deep in the industry. His family owns and operates Paradise Ridge Winery in Santa Rosa, CA, where he currently serves as Chairman. Peter resides in Marin County with his wife Dawn, and together they cherish their four grown children.

Mr. Byck holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, complemented by a BS in Computer Science and Math from the University of California at Davis.
